Salt air and what it does to Westshore and Ahuriri units

Out at Westshore, Ahuriri and up on Bluff Hill the outdoor units cop salt spray straight off the bay. That salt sits on the coil fins and the casing and corrodes them faster than anywhere inland. Left alone, a coastal unit can look tired in a few years while the same model in Marewa still looks new.

On our regular services near the coast we rinse the coils down, check the casing and fasteners for rust, and clear the drain. It's the difference between a unit that lasts and one that dies early. Repairs when the heat drops off
